"Your 'mother' doesn't love anyone. She's a monster, just like you and your 'brothers' are." Cloud growled "...and that makes me a monster too."
If Kadaj wasn't so important to the compleation of this 'cycle' he saw in his dream, Cloud would bother to put up a fight just enough to harm Kadaj for someone else to finish off. But then the seeds of tradgedy would be sown, ready to grow into a fate worse than the one everybody was already involved in.
He couldn't let that happen; he had to see that Kadaj got what he wanted and that Sephiroth knew about it, only then would he truely rest. Free of the poison of Jenova and The Black Materia, no longer plagued by the visions in his dreams...death was his ticket out of the living Hell and into a world of his own. Much so like how he blatently (sp?) ignored Kadaj's words up until the mentioning of 'Delivery Boy'. The key word he was waiting to hear. The word that told him to start provoking the silver monster a bit more.
"If you think I'd deliver you The Black Materia, then you're mistaken..." Cloud began "...because I don't deliver poison to anyone." he added, flashing off a smug grin as he readied himself for combat.
He knew Tifa was still here, and he also figured she'd stay no matter what happened...and that made him nervous; he didn't want to see her get hurt by Kadaj or himself, because he knew all too well what was going to happen in this fight.
But he had to keep trying.
"Tifa, get out of here...before I do something I might regret."
((UBER BAD!!!))
